Additive Industries announces new flagship 3D metal printer MetalFAB-600

Today we are proud to announce the development of our new flagship model the MetalFAB-600! We expect to present the new model towards the end of 2021. The MetalFAB-600 will offer a build size of 600x600mm and 1000mm Z-height, one of the largest volumes in the industry, and 5X larger in volume than Additive Industries’ current MetalFAB1, that already offers 420x420x400. The MetalFAB-600 will be highly productive with a deposition rate up to 1000cc/hour, using 10x1kW lasers. It is developed on a platform that allows even further expansion of the build volume and productivity in the future. The MetalFAB-600 will build upon the knowledge and experience gained with the MetalFAB1 in robustness and automating key production processes. The automation will focus on powder handling, alignments, and calibrations to ensure the highest possible output. The MetalFAB-600 is designed to achieve the lowest cost per part, targeting traditional casting and machining industry.

Makino and Additive Industries announce the signing of LOI for joint project

We are happy to inform you that today Additive Industries and Makino signed a Letter of Intent (LOI), for a joint project to develop integrated process chains anticipating on the upscaling of industrialized Additive Manufacturing. Instead of treating additive manufacturing of metal parts and post processing as separate processes, the two companies aim to develop a process chain where their technologies seamlessly work together. Both parties will work on the development and commercialization of hybrid process chains supported by the in-depth process know-how and machine design experience of both companies.

Fusor Tech Selects Additive Industries MetalFAB1 System

We are proud to announce that Fusor Tech and Additive Industries have joined forces to develop the market of Digital Spares in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical sectors, initially focusing the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. With the purchase of this first MetalFAB1 System, Fusor Tech will benefit from its build size, modularity, speed, automation and flexibility to manufacture the many different types of metallic components that are fundamental to operations in these sectors.

Sigma Labs and Additive Industries announce MetalFAB1 certified as PrintRite3D® Ready

In a joint partnership of the engineering teams of Sigma Labs, a leading developer of in-process quality assurance software for the additive manufacturing industry, and Additive Industries, the MetalFAB1 is now qualified as PrintRite3D Ready. This will allow the MetalFAB1 to be equipped with a melt pool monitoring solution. Ready for up to four full field lasers and real time multi-laser visualizations, the integration of the PrintRite3D Melt-Pool Monitoring solution is a valuable addition to the MetalFAB1 product. Real time visualization can be viewed in 2D or 3D and potential anomalies in the part will be highlighted.
