Additive Industries secures € 10M for international expansion

Additive Industries has secured a EUR 10 Million loan from BOM Brabant Ventures and existing shareholder Highlands to accelerate the growth towards a worldwide top 3 position. Since its inception in 2012, Highlands has been the stable financing partner of Additive Industries and is now joined by BOM Brabant Ventures, a regional investment fund aiming for a strong, sustainable, and future-proof Brabant. The Province of North-Brabant is the home of many high tech equipment OEMs with its concentration in and around Eindhoven, where Additive Industries was founded in 2012. Finalists Design Challenge 2019 accelerate in industrial 3D printing

On Thursday, February 7,2019, Additive Industries announced the finalists of Additive World Design for Additive Manufacturing Challenge 2019. From a group of 121 contestants, both professionals and students, 3 finalists were selected per category. This year we have two honourable mentions in the professional category. Additive Industries appoints Mike Goh General Manager for Asia Pacific hub

Additive Industries has hired Mike Goh to lead the 3D printing systems manufacturer’s expansion in the Asia Pacific region. With over 20 years in regional business development and technical sales management, Mike has been responsible for advancing the business at the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing since early 2015. In this capacity he was working closely with the Singapore additive manufacturing ecosystem to engage companies to adopt 3D printing technology through research collaborations. In his new role, Mike will set up and run the recently announced Additive Industries Process & Application Development Center in Singapore and build a team to grow the Company’s business in Asia. Please find the press release and a picture below:

Additive Industries partner in GKN Aerospace Global Technology Center in Bristol

06 December, 2018

Today the UK Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Greg Clark, and the Chief Executive of GKN Aerospace, Hans Büthker, revealed plans for GKN Aerospace’s new Global Technology Centre in the UK. The new centre is expected to open in 2020 and the 10,000 square metre facility will host 300 highly skilled engineers, and will include collaborative space for research and development with universities, the UK’s CATAPULT network and GKN Aerospace’s UK supply chain. The centre will focus on additive manufacturing (AM), advanced composites, assembly and industry 4.0 processes to enable the high rate production of aircraft structures. The Bristol centre joins a growing list of GKN Aerospace Centres of Technical Excellence around the world. Each centre has a unique technology focus - covering AM, thermoplastics and smart aero-engine systems - and is supported and linked by a clear digital strategy. Additive Industries is a proud partner of the Bristol GTC and will join GKN Aerospace in their additive manufacturing programmes from the co-located Process & Application Development Centre. Additive Industries builds regional hub for Asia Pacific in Singapore

Following the official State Visit to The Netherlands, the President of the Republic of Singapore, Mdm Halimah Yacob, visited Eindhoven where Additive Industries officially announced its Process & Application Development Center in Singapore. Additive Industries will build this into a regional hub for local development and customer support. In addition to a local role, the Singapore Process & Application Development Center will also have a global function as a competence center for industrialisation of metal additive manufacturing within the company. Special market focus will be on regional key verticals such as semiconductor equipment, aerospace as well as marine, oil and gas. Please find the press release and pictures below:
