Being theAlfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN's’ metal AM Technology Supplier since 2017 makes us very proud to know that their use of the F1 AM parts through those years significantly increased. Their consumption of ALSi10Mg and Ti64Gd23 has almost doubled, Scalmalloy usage by a factor 4, and this all only in the period between 2020 and 2021!

Congratulations to the Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN with the launch of the new era race car: the C42!
Being the teams’ metal AM Technology Supplier since 2017 makes us very proud to know that their use of the F1 AM parts through those years significantly increased. Due to completely new regulations in F1 starting in 2022, the C42 has less aerodynamic 3D printed parts than last year, but more printed critical applications. The new C42 race car consists of 150 components printed on MetalFAB system, corresponding to a bit more than 1% of the total weight. Would you like to understand more about what critical parts could be, please see our joint case study with Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN on the “Chassis Inserts”: https://www.additiveindustries.com/case-study-design-manufacture-of-am-f1-chassis-inserts?hsLang=en
