K3D-AddFab scales for industrial additive manufacturing in high tech and aerospace

In 2013 AddLab was one of the first open innovation centers for 3D metal printing in Eindhoven. Today the partners KMWE, NTS-Group, Machinefabriek De Valk and K3D have announced to take their collaboration to the next level and scale their shared facility for true series production for applications in high-tech equipment and aerospace while changing the name to K3D-AddFab. Additive Industries wins first MetalFAB1 order in China

At the second day of the 7th annual Additive World Conference of Additive Industries in Eindhoven, the company announced to have won a first order in China. After the recent appointment of Sinsun-Tech Corporation Ltd as its agent, they sold the first MetalFAB1 system to a Chinese customer. Additive Industries won the tender of the Maritime Equipment Technology Institute of Jiangsu University of Science & Technology and will help the institute to accelerate production of heat exchangers for Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) applications. Please see the press release & a picture below:

K3D and Obasogie Okpamen winners of Design for Additive Manufacturing Challenge 2019

During the awards dinner of the 7th edition of the Additive World Conference, Chairman of the Jury, Ultimaker’s Steven van de Staak, announced K3D and Obasogie Okpamen as winners of the Additive World Design for Additive Manufacturing Challenge 2019. All finalists, three in the student category and three professionals, pitched their designs in front of the 5-member jury. After deliberation they made a unanimous and well-advised selection in both categories. The winning designs, a ‘Dough Cutting Knife’ and a ‘Twin Spark Engine Connection Rod’, are inspiring use cases of industrial 3D metal printing. Please see the press release & a picture below:
