Job mission

As a Supply Chain Engineer you will be a key member of the Supply Chain Team and will be responsible for the logistic design of the supply chain and the application of the systems involved like ERP. This includes defining and implementing supply chain strategies with new product release, product change, and supply change. Also maintaining and improving current supply chain settings is part of your scope. The strategy you implement will have a major impact on supply reliability, costs and inventory levels. You will look for opportunities in the ERP system, other applications and lead the digitalization and integration of all supply chain processes, from supplier to customer. The objective is to manage exceptions only.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in new product development teams and product change processes. Manage the link between PLM and ERP.
  • ERP key user and functional application owner: search, implement and support new ERP functionality
  • Maintain logistic master-data and parameter settings
  • Spare parts management: inventory strategy, ROP and MOQ setting
  • Streamline and improve the supply chain planning process continuously and in close cooperation with sales, operations, service and strategic purchasing.
  • BI: analyze data and create reports

Reporting

The Supply Chain Engineer reports to the Manager Purchasing & Supply Chain.

Knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor/ Master degree in Supply Chain Management
  • 2 years work experience in supply chain engineering in an industrial organization
  • Experience with MS Dynamics Business Central and MS Power BI is preferred
  • Proactive attitude to vendors and internal teams
  • Excellent communication skills, in Dutch and English, are key
  • Analytic, collaborative, organized, ownership, results orientated and quality awareness
  • Flourishes in a developing environment.
