Function Description:
Additive Industries is looking for a Senior Process & Application Development (P&AD) Engineer to join our Process & Application Development North America Team. To support our customers, we develop the print process for different materials and applications, and provide solutions for print process simulation, monitoring, and control.
Tasks/Responsibilities:

Resource Management:
-
Keep overview and continuously discuss allocated and available resources together with P&AD Manager.

In time, recruiting new team members and hiring of external resources to match with active and future projects.

Continuously discuss assignment of resources to projects with P&AD Manager.

Competence Management:
-
Actively manage the development of competences within P&AD to match with active and future projects.

Continuously work on the personal development of individual team members.

Support the quality and process improvement within P&AD enabling a lean and efficient way of working for the whole team.

Ensuring organization and planning of the P&AD team members involved with process application and R&D activities.

Driving Process & Application activities:
-
Supporting R&D Team in developing, verifying, maturing, and improving the MetalFAB print process.

Defining and ensuring predictable and repeatable characteristics of products printed on MetalFAB.
-
Executing process development activities for new product introductions.

Successfully executing customer application developments, including material and process development and customer specific MetalFAB solutions.
Reporting:

The Senior P&AD Engineer will report to the P&AD Manager.
Knowledge and Experience
Education:
-
Bachelor or Master in Material Science, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
Experience/skills:
-
Experience in Laser Powder Bed Fusion process development
-
Experience with material testing, including surface roughness, tensile and density measurements
-
Experience with metal powder characterization
-
Analytically strong and systematic problem-solving mentality
-
Project management and black belt skills is a plus
-
Pragmatic and hands-on mentality
