Function

Additive Industries is growing fast. We are therefore scaling our global sales organization to address the shear business potential and manage all opportunities ahead of us, as well as manage existing strategic accounts. We are currently scaling up our sales organisation to be able to handle all requests from potential European and US customers. As an inside Sales Engineer you will support the international sales organisation preparing quotes, calculate business cases for industrial 3D metal printing, prepare visits of customers at our premises and abroad, organise demonstrations of the system and software, coordinate test-parts being printed and track the sales supporting activities. Moreover you will be the interface between the Sales Managers and the internal commercial and technical teams. As a successful Sales Engineer you can grow into a Sales Manager position, if you are interested in and excited about taking a step further within the organisation.

With a technical background and international experience in consulting or consultative selling, including direct customer contact and responsibility, you are ready for a next step in a promising new technology market. You are well organised and punctual, a good listener and well informed as well as broadly interested and preferably experienced in the markets Additive Industries targets: aerospace, automotive, medical implants and high-tech equipment parts. You share our passion of defining and realising the best 3D printing solutions for our high-end customers. Your primary working place is our headquarter in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Occasionally you will travel for tradeshows and customer visits.

Tasks/responsibilities:

  • Prepare (potential) customer visits at our premises and abroad
  • Calculate business cases, define system configurations and present cost price calculations
  • Make quotations and manage the sales funnel
  • Coordinate sales support activities with the other teams, e.g. benchmarks, FAT/SAT, deliveries, installations, handover and training of our products
  • Answer commercial queries and public tenders
  • Prepare content for publications and customer events

Reporting

The Sales Engineer will report to the Sales Director EMEA

Knowledge and experience

Education:

  • Bachelor or Master in Technology Management, Industrial Engineering, Technical Business Administration or similar

Experience/skills:

  • Successful and demonstrable track record in direct sales preferably of capital equipment or projects
  • Good coordination skills, ability to improvise and hands-on mentality
  • Creative and commercial mind-set, ability to build effective relationships and operate in a broad range of functional areas
  • Experience in a customer facing role in an industrial and innovative environment is preferred
  • Good communicator (in Dutch and English), both verbally, in writing and presenting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel) and preferably Dynamics CRM
