Job description
We are looking for a Junior Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI), sustaining and improving our MetalFAB system. You are a member of a team of Engineers and you are responsible for a dedicated part of the MetalFAB system. Your activities lead to efficient series production of MetalFAB systems with high reproducibility and quality. Next to working on our released products, your early participation in the development process also enables a seamless introduction of new Additive Industries products.
You are responsible for module acceptance at suppliers and a smooth system assembly and testing process at Additive Industries’ production site. To improve production efficiency and quality you set up production sequences in combination with operational procedures. You identify and structurally resolve issues in the production flow from supplier to Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). This leads to a high system reproducibility and quality and a shorter cycle time of the MetalFAB system production.
The typical activities in your job:
- Define and refine production sequences to optimize reproducibility and quality
- Define module and system test protocols
- Create processes and write procedures for production steps
- Specify production related requirements for new products
- Manage engineering deliverables in new product development (product creation process)
- Support system testers in our factory with troubleshooting on integration issues
- Support service engineers with troubleshooting on customer system issues
- Implement engineering changes in production either at our production site or at our suppliers
- Resolve production related issues with support of R&D and Engineering teams and (external) suppliers
- Train System Testers and Service Engineers
